How do I create an account?
Download the Sparklaxy app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and tap 'Sign Up'. Enter your phone number and email address, then verify your account using the code sent to your phone. Complete your profile by adding your personal information and payment details.
What information do I need to sign up?
You'll need a valid phone number, email address, and government-issued ID for verification. You'll also need to set up a payment method (bank account or mobile wallet) to receive payments for your gift cards.
How long does account verification take?
Account verification is typically completed within 24 hours. In most cases, verification is instant after you submit your documents. You'll receive a notification once your account is verified.
Can I use Sparklaxy without verification?
You can browse the app and view exchange rates without verification, but you'll need to complete verification to trade gift cards and receive payments. This is required for security and regulatory compliance.
Trading Gift Cards
What gift cards can I trade?
We accept all major gift card brands including Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Steam, Netflix, Spotify, Apple Store, eBay, and many more. Check the 'Supported Brands' section in the app for the complete list and current exchange rates.
How do I trade a gift card?
Open the app and tap 'Trade Now'. Select the gift card brand, enter the card number and PIN, and check the balance. Review the exchange rate and estimated payment amount, then confirm the trade. Your payment will be processed after verification.
How are exchange rates determined?
Exchange rates are based on current market conditions and may vary by gift card brand and denomination. Rates are updated in real-time and displayed before you confirm each transaction. Higher-value cards typically receive better rates.
What if my gift card is rejected?
If a gift card is rejected, it's usually because the card is invalid, already used, or has insufficient balance. Check the card details and try again. If the issue persists, contact our support team through the app for assistance.
Can I trade multiple gift cards at once?
Yes! You can trade multiple gift cards in a single transaction. Simply add each card to your trade basket, review the total amount, and submit. All cards will be processed together, and you'll receive one combined payment.
Payments & Transactions
How long does payment take?
Most payments are processed instantly after gift card verification. Some cards may take 2-5 minutes for verification. Once verified, payments are transferred immediately to your registered bank account or mobile wallet.
What payment methods are supported?
We support bank transfers to Nigerian banks and mobile wallet payments (including Opay, Palmpay, and others). You can add multiple payment methods in your account settings and choose your preferred method for each transaction.
Are there any fees?
We charge a small transaction fee that is clearly displayed before you confirm each trade. There are no hidden fees, and you'll see the exact amount you'll receive before completing the transaction.
How do I view my transaction history?
Go to the 'Transactions' tab in the app to view all your past trades. You can filter by date, status, or gift card type. Each transaction shows the card details, exchange rate, fees, and payment status.
What if I don't receive my payment?
If you haven't received your payment within 24 hours, check your transaction status in the app. If it shows 'Completed' but you haven't received funds, contact our support team immediately with your transaction ID for assistance.
Account & Security
How do I change my password?
Go to 'Settings' > 'Security' > 'Change Password'. Enter your current password and your new password twice. Make sure your new password is strong and unique.
Is my information secure?
Yes, we use bank-level 256-bit SSL encryption to protect all your data and transactions. We comply with international security standards and never share your information with third parties without your consent.
What should I do if my account is compromised?
If you suspect unauthorized access, immediately change your password and enable two-factor authentication. Contact our support team right away, and we'll help secure your account and investigate the issue.
How do I update my personal information?
Go to 'Settings' > 'Profile' to update your personal information, phone number, email address, or payment methods. Some changes may require verification for security purposes.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account by going to 'Settings' > 'Account' > 'Delete Account'. Note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to withdraw any remaining funds before deleting your account.
Troubleshooting
The app is not loading or crashing
Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, check your internet connection, update the app to the latest version, or restart your device. If issues continue, uninstall and reinstall the app.
I can't verify my phone number
Make sure you're entering the correct phone number with the country code. Check that you have a stable internet connection. If you don't receive the verification code, wait a few minutes and try again, or request a new code.
My transaction is stuck or pending
Some transactions may take longer during high-traffic periods. Wait a few minutes and refresh the app. If your transaction remains pending for more than 30 minutes, contact support with your transaction ID.
I can't add a payment method
Make sure your bank account or mobile wallet details are correct. Some payment methods may require additional verification. If you continue to have issues, contact support for assistance.
The exchange rate seems incorrect
Exchange rates fluctuate based on market conditions. The rate shown is the rate at the time of your transaction. If you believe there's an error, contact support with your transaction details.
